Position: Head of Health and Safety
Salary: £65K + Benefits Package 10% Bonus Pension 25 Days Holiday

Job description:

Overall responsibility for a team of three, management of overall compliance with health, safety, and fire safety across all areas of the business. Provision of competent health and safety advice to all managers to ensure they are equipped to meet their statutory obligations under relevant legislation.
Assist in developing and maintaining effective team working across departments and offices of the business, tenants and on site contractors as appropriate.

Ensure that you compliance with all Health and Safety regulations and safe working practices as required by current legislation and the Company’s Health and Safety Policy and procedures.
Management and development of the Health and Safety Team.

Attend production / pre event meetings when required and provide competent advice to relevant parties on Health and Safety/Fire safety matters, either personally or through the team, to ensure best practice.
Ensure that all materials and resources are effectively and efficiently utilised to minimise waste and reduce costs.
Administration of Business Continuity Plan and associated documentation, ensuring kept up to date.
Management of insurance and primary contact for all insurance queries and responsibility for annual renewal.
Contract manager for Fire & Safety and Medical services on events, ensuring regular meetings to monitor KPIs and SLAs.

Candidate profile: Able to evidence in-depth of knowledge of health and safety legislation and management, with the abiliry and experience to manage and motivating a team.

Commercially astute and aware of clients and customers needs and recognised as one of the best in their field of expertise.

Mentally resilient – demonstrates consistent decision making skills in any circumstance.

Experience of budgetary management

CMIOSH, NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent.

A background covering building structures, as well as public entertainment with knowledge of provisions for disabled persons and exprience of complex multi tenanted sites.
